Christ the Redeemer was constructed betwen 1922 and 1931 and was designed by Heitor da Silva Costa. Overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, this 98 foot (29.87m) high statue stands on a 26 foot (7.9m) high platform and has arms that stretch 92 feet (28m) wide.
